Brett A. Steele

Brett A. Steele is Vice President of RailSolutions, Inc. In that role, Mr. Steele is responsible for rail industry research and analytical support services. In addition, Mr. Steele manages the firm's resource materials, and is responsible for the implementation and up-grading of the firm's quantitative valuation models and database system.

While at RailSolutions. Mr. Steele has created a database of historical residual values, sale prices and lease rental rate information. Mr. Steele has coordinated and participated in physical inspections and technical evaluations of used railcars and locomotives.

In addition, Mr. Steele serves as project manager in organizing, updating and publishing the Investors' Guide to Railroad Freight Cars and Locomotives which was created as a railorad industry reference source for financial industry professionals. In that role, he has developed and coordinated information from the Surface Transportation Board (STB) Uniform Railroad Costing System, STB Carload Waybill Sample and RAILINC data.

Prior to joining RailSolutions, Mr. Steele was responsible for managing the inventory control and logistics procedures at Hoppmann Corporation, a middle market manufacturing company based in Chantilly, VA. While at Hoppmann, Mr. Steele successfully designed and implemented inventory control procedures which resulted in significant reductions in inventory-related losses.

Mr. Steele earned a BBA degree from Roanoke College in 1997. While at Roanoke, he participated in the Honors Program and served as an intern with the investment firm of Scott & Stringfellow. In 2002 he received an MBA from The George Washington University.
